AMD together we advance_ The ROLE: In this supply chain program management role, you will be leading initiatives across Global Sourcing/Procurement function and supporting supply risk mitigation programs. It is an individual contributor role best suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment with a bias for action and ownership mindset. This role resides within AMD's Global Operations & Quality (GOQ). THE PERSON: The ideal candidate comes with good analytical & critical thinking skills and has a background in direct materials sourcing/procurement. Is proactive, can identify gaps and propose impactful solutions to the business stakeholders. Has proven aptitude for using data, process-mapping and project management skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Single point of contact for facilitating and leading Tactical Sourcing Council (New Programs), supporting inquiries related to supply chain risk management and driving procurement business operations excellence initiatives. Utilize capabilities of AMD’s supply chain mapping and risk management platform. Identify and address platform gaps vs AMD business needs and drive appropriate actions to closure. Support and or lead SCRM (supply chain risk mitigation) and other compliance initiatives. Articulate problem statements and responsible for identifying gaps, driving action to deliver the identified improvement in procurement & sourcing process. Represent Global Operations to support AMD Product Compliance teams / committee, summarize actions and drive related programs for sourcing teams. Accountable for the Sourcing Council’s team readiness. Driving cross functional engagement across GOQ - review and prepare new product sourcing/supply chain proposals. Procurement function owner for Deal Tracker deal initiation (in Workfront system) as a Deal Manager. Additional responsibilities/ projects related to Direct Procurement Operations, may be assigned based on experience and competency. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge/experience contributing to or leading supply chain risk management processes in electronics or semiconductor industries. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization Experience building processes and project management schedules Experience developing and delivering executive briefing content Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Preferred certification from PMI, ISM / APICS / CIPS Knowledge of A.I or generative A.I application is beneficial Program or project management experience Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's degree in a technical field LOCATION: Austin, TX #LI-HYBRID #LI-AP3 At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
