What you'll do:
Own requirements gathering, design, and verification of aircraft avionics, sub-systems, and full aircraft system. Examples: develop an autonomous aircraft landing solution, integrate and deploy a radar payload, or debug a flight critical sensor failure. Assemble, lead, and collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts in disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded, Autonomy, RF, Thermal, Manufacturing, Product Management, Etc. Own and support flight critical avionics selection from concept through production. Support critical customer and program payload, sensor, and other integration/verification needs. Engage with vendors and 3rd parties to support engineering development and existing aircraft fleet. Own and drive your development schedule and deliverables. Identify, resolve, and document various system technical issues. Evaluate aircraft and sub-system design performance against requirements. Drive improvements to our processes and technical architecture. Other duties as assigned.Required qualifications:
You have a B.S. degree or relevant experience in engineering such as Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Aerospace, or another related field. Solid engineering fundamentals. You have experience as an Engineer on a cross-functional hardware development project, such as full-time, internship, co-op, engineering club, etc. Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results. Strong communication skills, both written and verbally. Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
