Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. 

We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the requirements gathering, bring-up, validation, and triage of our AI Data Collection Hardware, which consists of custom electromechanical hardware and software that assists in collecting training data for our AI models.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work directly with our AI team to understand data collection hardware needs
  • Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and technician teams to plan and execute first article bring-ups
  • Build and oversee the execution of benchtop validation
  • Plan and execute integration with the full robot stack and subsequent system-level validation for AI data collection
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, test plans, and validation results
  • Perpetually respond to system failures, including coordinating failure analysis and driving solutions from conception to fully delivered

Requirements: 

  • Relevant experience integrating custom mechatronic systems for real products
  • Depth in electronics and embedded systems
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Hands-on, highly technical approach to integration

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience working with robotic systems
  • Prior experience working with humanoids
  • Prior leadership experience
