THE ROLE:
Technical Program Manager for AMD’s Datacenter GPU and Accelerated Computing engineering team. In this role you will work with AMD’s customers, hardware engineers, software developers, and business development team to bring to life the world’s fastest servers for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. You will be responsible for planning, driving, and reporting on joint product development and deployment with top customers.
THE PERSON:
- Strong communication skills, from executive-level status reporting to working level technical discussions.
- Strong technical program management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex programs.
- Ability to get results in a large, matrixed organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and drive large, customer-facing programs to deploy servers with AMD GPUs with mega data centers, OEMs, and ODMs.
- Build and lead program core teams.
- Report execution status to executives, customers, and co-workers.
- Make critical customer communications.
- Facilitate closure of complex issues requiring multi-party alignment of AMD teams, customers, and partners.
- Manage and handle issues and escalations with a sense of urgency.
- Availability for discussions with coworkers and customers in other time zones.
- Occasional travel.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Consistent record leading and successfully delivering medium-to-large tech programs.
- Building and leading cross-functional core teams.
- Building and managing relationships with customers or partners.
- Utilization of modern program management and issue tracking tools.
- Understanding of server architecture, server software and HPC/AI workloads.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar preferred.
- PMP certification is a plus, but not required.

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
