Position Overview:
ShyftLabs is seeking a VDI Engineer, the person in this position should be able to drive the execution of multiple technology solutions, business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans. Solves the most complex tasks across system/business functions. Influences across the organization and across the Enterprise.

Key Responsiblities:

  • Manage Citrix environments PVS and MCS and DaaS.
  • Proactively working solutions and optimization.
  • Identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and issues and work to resolution.
  • Support the VDI environment end to end.
  • Help manage business applications.
  • Working incidents and requests from service desk tickets.
  • Support off-hour upgrades and installations.
  • Build and maintain detailed system documentation and knowledge based articles to solution centre support.
  • Able to work on On-Call & amp; shift rotations with response to responding to the alerts
  • AVD is value added.
  • Profile resets, performance monitoring, provide solutions to level1 and 2 issues.
  • Update managements, Profiling solutions and handling workloads.

    Basic & Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years overall IT experience
  • 4+ years managing a Citrix virtual desktop environment VDI solutions
  • Large enterprise experience in various virtualization technologies like PaaS, DaaS and IaaS
  • Experience in DaaS, On-Prem Infra management for Citrix virtual apps and desktops
  • Experience with Citrix ADC/NetScaler
  • Experience with Citrix Workspace and Storefront
  • Experience with Citrix MCS and PVS
  • Experience with virtual machine management and UPM and FSLogix
  • Knowledge of Windows 2016/2019/2022 server
  • Enterprise level Active Directory and Group Policy design and implementations
  • Extensive knowledge of network technologies at each layer of the OSI Model, and related tools
  • Ability to write scripts to improve performance, resolve issues, and automate processes via PowerShell, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Service Now, and strict Change Management processes
