Monks is looking to welcome an Associate Creative Director with a strong background in design, craft and art direction to its creative team. Based in Riyadh, you will lead projects and teams, ensuring smooth, effective, and collaborative workflows. Experience working with government and real estate clients in the Middle East region is a strong plus. Minimum 7 years experience with at least 2+ years experience in KSA is required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead creative projects, managing multiple campaigns across regions and time zones.
- Oversee the development of the visual language, creative strategy, and overall look and feel of campaigns, ensuring high-quality execution from concept to delivery.
- Mentor and guide the creative team, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.
- Participate in campaign ideation and development, leading creative visual articulation and client presentations.
- Own the creative execution of projects, ensuring consistency and attention to detail throughout all phases.
- Work closely with clients to maintain transparent communication, managing expectations and ensuring smooth project progression.
- Collaborate with account leadership and strategy teams to optimize workflows and deliver projects efficiently.
- Digital/Social first mentality to campaign approaches with a strong background in using strategy, data, and insights to inform creative, campaigns, and agility within the same.
- Channel, Audience, and Data led thinking.
- Proactive client deliverables - outside of scoped requirements not limited to monthly thought leadership, best practices, quarterly QBR. For both client and internal teams.
The essentials:
At least 7 years of experience in a creative leadership role, with a strong background in digital design, craft, and art direction
- Experience working with government clients/agencies in Middle East but in KSA specifically (min two years +) required.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring and managing creative teams.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, guiding teams in creative, copywriting, design, and animation across different time zones.
- Strong understanding of digital and social platforms, with the ability to adapt to different tones of voice and visual styles.
- Excellent pitching and presentation skills, capable of representing Monks and showcasing the agency’s creative excellence to clients.
- Strong knowledge of advertising processes, balancing creativity with practical considerations to meet client needs and deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset, working closely with account leadership and strategy teams to optimize efficiency and meet client goals.
- Arabic/English fluency is key.
