Director of Eats Ads Engineering

The director of Eats Ads Engineering aims to build the stable and efficient Ads systems along with the productive tech team, collaborating with business and product team to grow the revenue by innovative Ads strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and manage a highly efficient and expert tech organization for Ads business of Coupang Eats.
- Align with stakeholders and lead engineers on mission critical projects to resolve complex business problems.
- Draw a roadmaps and vison for the scalable and robust growth of the Ads platform.
- Drive the highest quality of architecture and design of Ads serving and operation systems.
- Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions.
- Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, and availability of Ads services.
- Deep-dive and handle critical system issues. Help team to make hard tech decisions.
- Collaborate with other Coupang tech teams to make the service extensible to unlock opportunities for innovations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Someone who has proven track record of leading teams for delivering mission critical system.
- Strategic thinker and someone who has Ads experience.
- Exceptional deep dive skills and someone who is bar raiser for engineering excellence.
- Experience with cloud computing with AWS
- Large system architecture design and development experience
- Experience with Java / MySQL / Spring / ES / Big data environment
- Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 10+ years of experience working on software design and development in Java, database, Big Data.
- At least 5+ years for leading an engineering team handling large volume of data.
- Experience with designing, building and deploying scalable, highly available services
