About the Salesforce Military Program:

The Salesforce Military Program is dedicated to empowering transitioning military members, veterans, and their spouses with the skills and resources needed to succeed in the technology industry. We provide training, certifications, and career support to help them launch successful careers within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Position Summary:

The Director, Salesforce Military Program will be a strategic leader responsible for the overall vision, execution, and growth of the program. This role will lead the program's strategy, partnerships, budget, and operations, ensuring the program's relevance, impact, and sustainability. The Director will foster strong relationships with executive stakeholders, external partners, and the military community to achieve program goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for the Salesforce Military Program, aligning with Salesforce's overall mission and goals.

    • Identify and evaluate emerging trends and technologies, including AI and Agentforce, to ensure the program remains relevant and competitive.

    • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and impact.

  • Partnership Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key external partners, including Hiring Our Heroes, military organizations, and industry leaders.

    • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with program objectives and mutual benefit.

    • Explore and develop new partnership opportunities to expand program reach and impact.

  • Budget and Operations:

    • Develop and manage the program's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and financial accountability.

    • Oversee program operations, including training delivery, certification programs, career support, and community engagement.

    • Implement and optimize program processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on program progress.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development.

    • Engage with the military community, actively listening to their needs and feedback to inform program development.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Directly manage the Salesforce Military Program team, providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance.

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

    • Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new team members.

  • Program Advocacy:

    • Act as an advocate for the Salesforce Military Program within Salesforce and the broader community.

    • Represent the program at industry events, conferences, and meetings.


Qualifications:

  • Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).

  • Proven experience in program management, strategic planning, and partnership development.

  • Strong understanding of the military community and veteran transition challenges.

  • Experience working with or within the technology industry.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience with budget management.

  • Experience working with or within the Salesforce ecosystem is a plus.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $257,600.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $193,800 to $281,100.

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $257,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
