In pursuit of this mission, our Recruiting team is responsible for finding, assessing, and hiring exceptional talent across various fields and specialties. The team acts as consultative partners to our leaders across the organization, from technical managers up to our CEO, Sam Altman. We’re an established, collaborative team with a balance of structure, process, and ambitious problems to solve for.

About the Role

Our team is growing to help OpenAI build the next phase of highly-capable intelligent computer systems. We’re looking for a highly experienced Executive sourcer who specializes in talent identification and engagement of most sought-after executive talent across various disciplines. You will have a close partnership with Executive Recruiters, hiring partners, coordinators and any cross-functional partners needed to succeed.

Our team has an outsized impact opportunity for someone who has deep experience sourcing for executive level roles and driving all the front-end candidate funnel stages. You'll own hiring manager relationships across the entire organization, identify and engage leading experts in their respective fields, and partner with our recruiters and leaders to carefully scale and optimize our teams.

This role can be located in SF or remote.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and engage top senior talent for confidential, executive roles at OpenAI

  • Partner with hiring teams to develop a deep understanding of our business's current and future hiring and develop sourcing strategies to fulfill those needs

  • Act as the initial touchpoint for your candidates, striving for exceptional experience and quick progress

  • In partnership with your Executive Recruiting partner, act as a thought-partner and advisor to hiring teams, including sharing talent market intelligence and candidate insights

  • Act as an ambassador for OpenAI when engaging with top talent

We’re looking for a blend of:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in an executive recruiting capacity or working with C-level hiring partners in a high growth, premier tech company.

  • Experience sourcing for non-technical executive level roles such as product design, program management, policy, communications, legal, finance, operations, marketing, etc.

  • Track record of delivering healthy candidate volume while maintaining a high degree of responsiveness and care to each stakeholder and candidate in the process.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships, influence and partner effectively with hiring managers and leaders.
