The Role

We are seeking a experienced and strategic Global Head of Business Development to lead our efforts in expanding and nurturing our global ecosystem. This role is crucial in driving Story’s growth by building and managing strategic partnerships, and spearheading business development initiatives across multiple regions.

As the Global Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating innovative projects and enterprise partners, managing our partnership pipeline, and ensuring the successful execution of project launches on Story. Your ability to understand and navigate different markets, coupled with your expertise in blockchain technology and ecosystem building, will be key to driving Story’s mission forward.

As the Global Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating innovative projects and enterprise partners, managing our partnership pipeline, and ensuring the successful execution of project launches on Story. Your ability to understand and navigate different markets, coupled with your expertise in blockchain technology and ecosystem building, will be key to driving Story’s mission forward.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the global business development strategy, identifying and prioritizing key markets and opportunities to expand Story’s ecosystem. Have the ability to nurture Story-native novel applications as well as closing collaboration with established mainstream companies.
  • Market Expansion: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to inform and adapt strategies for different regions, ensuring that Story’s offerings resonate with local markets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and other cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals and maximize impact.
  • APAC Event and Media Coordination: Plan and execute events, meetups, and other activities that educate and engage local communities, while coordinating media coverage to build brand awareness.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to support and drive key strategic partnership initiatives on a global scale.
  • Pipeline Management: Own and maintain an up-to-date partnership pipeline, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams for successful project execution.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven Business Development Expertise: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or venture capital, preferably in the blockchain or technology sectors.
  • Global Market Knowledge: Extensive experience in navigating and expanding into global markets, with a deep understanding of regional nuances and cultural differences.
  • Blockchain and Ecosystem Experience: Strong understanding of blockchain technology and experience in leading ecosystem growth, partnerships, or related initiatives.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with business goals and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Highly Organized and Process-Driven: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong focus on organization and process management.
  • Collaborative and Adaptable: A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is comfortable working across different time zones and cultures.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
