The Role

As a Mobility Tax Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the payroll tax compliance and accounting reporting areas of Palantir’s Global Mobility program. You will craft, implement, and execute processes to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and deliver great customer service to our mobile employees. In this role, you’ll be working with the Mobility Tax team to ensure the tax implications of every assignment and transfer are understood and accounted for correctly by both Palantir and our assignees. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Finance, People and Legal teams and business leads to support the seamless movement of Palantir employees around the world.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need a combination of program management, process optimisation, and execution skills in addition to a working knowledge of mobility tax workflows. The Role

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage Palantir’s Mobile Equity Tax Program including oversight of tax rates and positions, year-end reporting and employee correspondence
  • Partner with payroll to ensure compliance across our shadow payrolls and equity remittance
  • Stay up to date on US and global tax regulations that may impact Palantir’s Mobility program, taking initiative to provide tax position recommendations and maintaining our Tax Equalisation policy
  • Coordinate cost estimates and tax planning for international assignments with internal stakeholders
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to drive various projects and initiatives around our mobility processes and internal systems
  • Partner closely with Payroll, Equity, Accounting and Corporate Tax teams to identify and drive process efficiencies and automation
  • Evaluate business travel tax compliance opportunities
  • What We Value

  • Solid knowledge of U.S. income taxes; knowledge of foreign tax systems is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for developing strong partnerships with stakeholders
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records and diligently tracking key project metrics
  • Enthusiasm for supporting internal projects and business priorities, bringing order and efficiency to critical internal initiatives
  • What We Require

  • 7+ years of Global Mobility, Tax or Payroll experience within a large public accounting or law firm, and/or a company that deploys employees overseas for project-based work
