THE ROLE:
We are a cutting-edge systems engineering team focused on DGPU graphics and NPU AI products that deliver performance leadership and superior power efficiency. The team is passionate about power and performance with primary responsibilities in post-silicon bring-up, feature and workload optimization and characterization, debug and product optimization.
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for post-silicon activities related to power and performance characterization and optimization of AMD discrete GPU products and integrated NPU products.

You are passionate about technology, continuously seeking to grow, a self-starter, and relentlessly determined with a high sense of accountability. You have strong analytical, critical thinking and superior communication skills. You lead teams and drive issues to resolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and executing performance, power and perf/watt characterization and optimization test plans for different usage scenarios (3D, compute, multimedia, Static Screen, AI, etc.)
- Analyzing interactions between various performance and power management features and optimize their configurations for power and performance
- Developing post-Si power models for key usage scenarios
- Support prototyping experiments for improving current and implementing new features that impact performance and power
- Debugging and troubleshooting system-level issues that may occur in test environments and platforms
- Proactively driving continuous improvement for post-silicon power and performance activities
- Participating in the product definition process
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of power/thermal management and performance
- Good understanding of computer organization/architecture
- Deep understanding of digital electronics
- Extensive laboratory experience, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong programming skills: C or C++, and a scripting language (for example: Python, Perl, PHP, or shells)
- Understanding of leading-edge artificial intelligence workloads and ROCm/CUDA an asset
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering/electrical engineering with emphasis on computer architecture and workload analysis
- Minimum 5 years of work experience
