Staff Data Analyst
Job Overview:
As our Staff Data Analyst for Pricing and Retail Analytics, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of regular reports and metrics, supporting and influencing system-wide decision-making through effective insight reports. Your engagement with product owners, operational teams, engineers, and other stakeholders will have a significant impact on our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a holistic understanding of your assigned domain, establish a comprehensive input/output metrics framework to clarify business operations, and set benchmarks/targets to track excellence in various business areas.
- Create and maintain user-friendly reports and dashboards to enhance the effectiveness of business decisions and operations, catering to the needs of both leadership and key partnering teams.
- Conduct in-depth analyses on key projects and develop logically sound insight reports with clear recommendations, being objective and vocal in your approach to influence stakeholders.
- Prioritize daily tasks and proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Keep the developed reports and backend systems up-to-date, including learning and deploying new technologies in both methodology and technical/software aspects.
- Maintain thorough documentation of knowledge and best practices, and provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other technical or business fields (Bachelor's degree with extensive experience is also considered).
- 5+ years of experience in data science, business analytics, or other quantitative fields with a Master's degree, or 7+ years with a Bachelor's degree.
- Excellent SQL skills and a good understanding of statistical analysis.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken; strong presentation and communication skills.
- Experience in initiating and driving analytics projects, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to the business.
- Experience in creating Tableau, PowerBI, Grafana, or similar GUI-based reports; not just a data producer, but a heavy data consumer.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as relevant Python libraries, Spark, R, as well as ETL engineering tools like GitHub and Airflow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant working experience in the retail/e-commerce industry.
- Proficiency in Korean or experience working and living in South Korea is advantageous.
