Principal Product Manager (On Device Solutions)

At Digital Turbine, we make mobile advertising experiences more meaningful and rewarding for users, app publishers, and advertisers — intelligently connecting people in more ways, across more devices. We provide app publishers and advertisers with powerful ads and experiences that captivate consumers, fuel performance, and help telecoms and OEMs supercharge awareness, acquisition, and monetization. In a rapidly evolving industry, we are constantly innovating and creating better paths of discovery to connect consumers, publishers, and advertisers across the mobile ecosystem.

Digital Turbine, Inc. (NASDAQ: APPS) is looking to fill a key Principal Product Manager position in their Durham, North Carolina office. This role will report to the VP, On-Device Product.

Please note that Digital Turbine is a hybrid work environment-only candidates local to the specified office locations will be considered.

What You’ll Do:

  • Big Picture & Details: You'll help shape the product vision and roadmap, but also get into the nitty-gritty of writing requirements for engineers. Like, really detailed stuff in Jira and Confluence.
  • Customer Focus: It's all about solving customer problems. You'll be the voice of the customer, making sure what gets built actually helps them out.
  • Lots of Collaboration: Get ready to work with everyone – product managers, engineers, designers, even legal. You'll be brainstorming ideas, gathering requirements, and getting everyone on the same page.
  • Story Time (User Stories): You'll be writing a ton of Epics and User Stories. These basically describe how new features will work. And you'll need to make sure they're super clear.
  • Making Things Visual: Think wireframes, flowcharts – anything to help explain how a product should work. Plus, you'll be doing presentations.
  • Testing, Testing: You'll be checking out the product you helped create, not as a QA person, but more like, "Does this actually work like I thought it would?" and flagging any big bugs.
  • Show & Tell: You'll be doing demos, presentations, and working with analytics to see how well the product is doing.
  • Juggling Priorities: You'll help figure out what gets worked on when, especially for your specific product area.
  • Launching Products: From testing to documentation to announcements, you'll be part of the whole launch process and then seeing how it can be improved based on feedback.
  • Knowing the Market: You'll be digging into market trends and user feedback to find new opportunities.
  • API's and Privacy: You'll be working on making APIs better and ensuring user data is protected.
  • ,

    What You'll Need (Your Superpowers):

  • Been There, Done That: 8-10+ years in product leadership, especially with mobile and Android. You basically live and breathe this stuff.
  • Android Expert: You know the Android OS inside and out, plus mobile tech and software development in general.
  • Strategic Thinker: You can connect the dots between product strategy and business goals.
  • Multi-Tasker Extraordinaire: You can handle lots of priorities at once and solve problems across different teams.
  • Marketing Mindset: You think like a marketer – how will this product actually get used?
  • Team Player: You've led teams before, especially internationally.
  • Platform Pro: 5 years of building platforms.
  • Know the Whole Cycle: You've been involved in all stages of product development, from coming up with the idea to launching it.
  • Tech Background: Bachelor's in something like Engineering or Computer Science, and at least 2 years as a software engineer (Android/iOS preferred).
  • Agile & Jira Guru: You know Agile development, sprints, and how to use Jira like a pro.
  • Great Communicator: Super strong English skills (speaking and writing).
  • Analytical Brain: You can dig into data and solve problems.
  • Curious Mind: You want to know why things are being built, not just what.
  • Transitioning/Already In Product: You're either trying to get into product management or already doing it, and you want to use your tech skills.
  • Project Management Skills: You can take an idea and make it a reality.
  • Presentation Power: You can make killer presentations and get people excited.
  • Ad Tech Savvy: You know the mobile advertising world, especially video, CTV, and yield management.
  • Global Mindset: You can work with people across different time zones and cultures.
  • Mobile Advertising Understanding: You get the mobile ad space and user acquisition.
  • Technical Depth: You're comfortable dealing with complex technical stuff.
