THE ROLE:
As part of the AI GPU Software (AGS) organization, this is a position on the ML SDK team responsible for the ROCm initiatives, GitHub ROCm community support, ROCm documentation, and GPU profiling/debugging tools. We are seeking an experienced manager to lead the profiler visualization tool team. The ideal candidate will get a chance to work with AMD’s Research and Advanced Development (RAD) and Product Management teams, and lead a team of engineers to define and deliver profiler visualization tools.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who will be responsible for leading the team to deliver profiler visualization tools. This role also requires that the individual to work cross-functional with different teams across global AMD offices. The individual should be passionate about AI in AMD and be creative on pushing the boundary of tool development. To be successful, the candidate must possess technical proficiency, excellent verbal and written communications, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to lead and manage a team of SW developers in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with tools architects, AMD Research and Advanced Development and Product Management teams to define long-term road map for profiler visualization tools
- Manage a team of engineers to deliver the profiler visualization road map
- Establish and continuously improve a tool development process for team and key stakeholders
- Provide status update to upper management
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven leadership skills in managing people and technical teams
- Prior experience in development of Visualization, Graphical User Interfaces/UX design
- Proficient in system level profiling and GPU profiling visualization
- Proven track record of delivering software projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical or Computer Engineering
