AMD together we advance_ RTL DESIGN ENGINEER THE ROLE: The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the design of new and existing features for AMD’s power management IP. THE PERSON: You have a passion for modern digital design and verification. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: RTL design with SystemVerilog Writing micro-architecture design specifications Familiarity with backend tools (synthesis, lint, CDC, etc.) Integrating flows into a project environment Running quality checks prior to each release to the physical design team Interfacing to the physical design team (debug of issues, creation/review of timing constraints) Verification: Work with verification team to define and review verification plans Debug of simulations at block and system-level Ability to work across various teams within the organization (Analog, FW, System Engineering, Architecture) PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Proven experience in RTL design, debug and support for mixed signal IP Low power design methodology with UPF PLL, DDR, GDDR or voltage regulator experience is a plus Strong programming/scripting skills (C/C++, Python, Perl, Ruby) 5+ years of digital design experience ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering LOCATION: Rochester, New York #LI-DD3 At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
