THE ROLE:

The AI Marketing Manager, Data center GPU will be responsible for defining and driving the marketing strategies to increase AMD Instinct GPU penetration across a broad set of AI customers & segments using AI. This role involves interaction with various external partners including AI startups, AI software & hardware solutions providers and cross-functional teams at AMD to develop marketing plans and necessary marketing content to support AMD Instinct GPU based server business goals. This role is at the center of creating market awareness for Instinct GPUs & ROCm software solutions and drive marketing activities in alignment with AMD’s business objectives and market share targets. In this highly collaborative role, you will work with sales, business development, product management, engineering, finance, legal and external partners to promote business, services, products, and the AMD brand.

 

THE PERSON:

We’re on the lookout for a Marketing Manager with a penchant for all things AI. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge and experience in marketing AI based solutions and possess data center GPU product knowledge, a deep understanding of AI software ecosystem including models, frameworks, libraries and applications, strong marketing and presentation skills, and content development skills to drive marketing strategies. Key skills required for this role include a deep customer and product curiosity, strong active listening, and strategic execution mindset, ensuring that the marketing efforts achieve desired results.

 

Responsible for driving market penetration of AMD Instinct GPUs in AI. Typical activities within this responsibility are:

  • Spearhead the development of AI marketing strategy and associated execution plans in alignment with Business Unit (BU) objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including BU leadership, sales leadership, partner marketing, regional field marketing, product marketing, corporate marketing, events etc. driving brand awareness, demand generation, and revenue growth in AI market.
  • Partner with product management to understand product market fit and define target market and customer profile, product positioning in target markets, coordinating product launch.
  • Partner with business development and sales to create a complete set of sales assets, including customer presentations, sales pitch deck, sales training material, white papers, customer success stories that highlight unique value proposition of AMD’s Data center GPU product line and drive adoption.   
  • Develop account based marketing strategies and marketing campaigns supporting AMD and partner sales & business development team to target lighthouse accounts
  • Identify key AI events, influencers to drive solution awareness and solution evangelization.
  • Incorporate best marketing practices to identify gaps and areas of improvements to make continuous improvement to BU marketing processes.
  • Develop key performance metrics to monitor marketing program effectiveness in achieving BU goals.

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong experience in a customer-facing marketing, business development, product management, applications engineering role
  • Atleast 5+ years of experience supporting marketing functions at OEM, ODM, Cloud Service Providers or technology companies focused on AI solutions & markets.
  • Knowledge of AI market, GPU hardware & software ecosystem is a must.
  • Development of a grounds-up market plan with key stakeholder alignment.
  • Knowledge of modern server platform architecture including knowledge of the processor, GPU accelerator and the ecosystem with the ability to communicate in a simple manner.
  • Outstanding written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects with an unstructured or ambiguous environment.
  • Highly results-driven and self-motivated with the ability to work as a team member and individually.
  • Understands both user and buyer personas for server and server processor products and services.
  • Understand customer pain points, goals, and opportunities.

ACADEMIC CREDINTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer or Electrical) or Business
  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred
