THE ROLE:

We're seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in x86 architecture, Linux internals, confidential computing, and orchestration frameworks. Strong leadership skills, along with experience in cross-functional collaboration and partner engineering, are a must. In this role, you'll shape strategies for software optimization, drive partner and customer engagements, and work closely with product and silicon development teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Container Orchestration and Confidential Computing Solutions Development Manager is responsible for;

Leading and managing the software development team to ensure successful project delivery and upstream contribution.
Collaborating with other teams and organizations to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives, including compliance with open-source licensing and community guidelines.
Building and leading a team of software developers focused on contributing to established open-source projects or developing new open-source projects.
Managing the team's contribution to multiple open-source projects, including ensuring deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Establishing strong relationships with key contributors and maintainers of open source projects to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Reporting project updates to senior management and stakeholders.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Deep understanding of containers and container orchestration including Kubernetes, Docker, Kata Containers, KubeVirt, OpenShift.
Understanding of confidential computing and zero-trust architectures
Understanding of x86 architecture
Experience running, analyzing, and tuning of system performance benchmarks
Experience in managing development projects and coordinating collaborative open-source development

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related equivalent
