Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.

We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Integration Technician to join our Electrical and Full Robot Integration Team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of building subsystems and full robot “bucks,” driving hands-on testing, debugging, and problem-solving. You will collaborate with engineers to solve complex integration challenges, uncover root causes of failures, and directly influence the design and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing & Validation: Plan, execute, and document tests for mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems, ensuring compliance with evolving specifications.
  • Debug & Troubleshoot: Diagnose issues in complex electromechanical systems, perform root cause analysis, and recommend/implement corrective actions.
  • Assembly & Builds: Construct and integrate mechanical and electrical assemblies, including test stands, harnesses, and subsystem rigs.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine best practices to streamline build and test processes. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system design and functionality.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of test procedures, results, and failures. Communicate findings to cross-functional teams using tools such as JIRA and test Result reporting tools.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Manage and maintain testing equipment, ensuring its proper calibration and optimal performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and system performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years working with complex electromechanical or robotic systems in an assembly, testing, or diagnostic capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes) and a variety of hand/power tools. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to methodically identify and resolve issues within tight deadlines.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Experience with JIRA and Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Organization & Detail: Highly organized with excellent time management skills; capable of maintaining focus and accuracy in fast-paced environments.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • CAD/3D modeling experience (CATIA or similar)
  • Programming knowledge (Python, Java, or C++)
  • Hands-on fabrication expertise (e.g., welding, machining)
  • PCB rework, soldering, and familiarity with IPC standards
  • Experience with DAQ systems, harmonic drives, brushless motors, or force sensors
  • Robotics system integration background

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
