Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. This role will require frequent travel to customer sites in the U.S.
The IT Deployment Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, and overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation and security of our robot network systems at commercial customer sites. This role requires a deep understanding of both traditional IT systems and new ways to deploy IT infrastructure with Figure’s humanoid robots.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Figure’s customers to design and implement IT infrastructure enabling Figure’s robots to operate in a commercial setting
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company's IT systems, including servers, networks, and software.
- Ensure reliability of the IT infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and robotic systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to on-site staff at Customer Site.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data transferred between robots and the central system.
- Collaborate with Figure’s team to understand our data needs back to HQ and implement both hardware and software solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management.
- Strong knowledge of computer networks, server management, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with running on-call rotations or Site Reliability Engineering teams.
- Experience with robotic systems and IoT (Internet of Things) technology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with production deployment of Machine Learning systems.
- Experience with config-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
