Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.
We are looking for an IT manager to join the IT team at Figure, focusing on building out IT operations and processes across the company to meet technology and growth needs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including endpoint devices (laptops, workstations, mobile devices), operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, software, and hardware
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
- Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitor solutions
- Prepare cost–benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor vendors to ensure that they’re offering the best-possible service and value for business needs
- Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed
- Build and grow a team of IT professionals to support the growing company, including hiring, mentorship, etc.
- Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in IT management
- Deep knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, MacOS), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring
- Experience with Google and Okta IDPs, as well as state of the art security architectures such as Zero Trust
- Experience managing Google Workspace
- Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions
- Strong creative and analytical thinking
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 - $220,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
