About The Role
The Head of Global Tax sits within our Finance team and reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance. The Finance Team is a dedicated group focused on financial strategy, analysis, and compliance to drive the company's success. Our mission is to provide comprehensive financial guidance and support across all facets of the organization.
What You’ll Do
The Head of Global Tax plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and minimizing tax liabilities for the US and International entities. This position will lead the tax planning and compliance efforts for the company, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Accounting and Legal.
- Manage all aspects of US and International tax planning, including researching and interpreting tax laws, rulings, and regulations to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance
- Assure timely payment of tax provisions to all tax agents. Gross receipts tax, income tax, sales/use tax, VAT and property tax
- Collaborate with tax preparers, review all federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness while minimizing tax liabilities
- Oversee tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide necessary documentation and support
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's overall tax position while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Legal, Hiring, Technology, and Operations, to identify tax implications of business decisions and transactions
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company, recommending and implementing necessary adjustments to tax strategies and compliance processes
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on tax matters, ensuring understanding and compliance with tax policies and procedures
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants, coordinating their efforts to support the company's tax objectives effectively
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in tax management and incorporate them into the company's tax planning and compliance strategies
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, contributing tax expertise and insights to achieve business objectives
What We Need
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain tax
- Technical Tax Skills: Exceptional knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, this includes understanding of tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and the ability to handle tax audits
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and extract and redefine reports from it
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with tax and accounting software (Netsuite a plus), and Google Suites
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, gather and analyze information, and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to handle “out of the box” situations through critical thinking and use of resources

Compensation:
- Base: $187,500
- Base + Bonus Target: $260,000
- This role is eligible to participate in Invisible’s equity plan.
The amount listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
