AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: Enable NPI (new product introduction) capability and capacity for NPI throughout Phases for all products supporting AMD growth. The Person: Team Management skills and have experience managing a global team Ability to collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams to support successful NPI ramps Ability to react quickly to change in input signals and analyze based on these changes and provide directions to mitigate risks if any Ability to collaborate with teams across the globe in different time zones Possess Analytical mindset with a drive to continuous improvement Ownership is key. This candidate will have complete ownership of the S&OP process and NPI Capacity Planning and Capex Management KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: S&OP Management Ownership of monthly S&OP Planning for post fab operations. Identify areas at risk which need actions and provide solutions either through capacity optimization or through capital spend Present to the CVPs of Supply Chain and Procurement on findings and highlight help needed, if any. NPI PLANNING Work closely with Supply Chain Team to plan for capability and capacity: NPI milestones for UU, Package Qual, EVT, DVT, Qi (IP) and Qi+1 Launch readiness Site identifications and Site Qualification schedules. Provide priority accordingly. Gather engineering samples and indices to support ENG activities at production sites Owner for Sort and Test Hardware reusability and new HW requirement ECM (engineering change management) and hardware checkout readiness, understanding and drive gaps vs hardware ETA/orders Communicate to SCT on CAPEX proposals and drive towards optimized costs Financial analysis for NPI Sort and Test hardware investments Identify AOP budget commits and deliveries ROI (return of investment) analysis to justify CAPEX commits month over month Understand AOP vs actual commit budget Understand demand changes since AOP vs current MOF requirements Ability to justify longevity of investments Understand business model of consignments, lead times, budget allocations Update CAPEX approval products for HW inventory tracking Product Life Cycle Management Support PLM gate reviews for NPI from Feasibility to Production Ramp Exit gate Prepare documentation and represent supply chain at gate review forums Working closely with Capacity team (Asia and Austin), Procurement and/or JV Prepare samples requirement monthly to quarterly prior to JV/OSAT loading communication Guide site allocations depending upon site readiness especially at Qi to Qi+1 Understand JV/OSAT revenue business model for loading decisions Ability to explain about NPI and how it impacts Supply Chain especially capacity/CAPEX CAPEX Management Responsible for calculating annual capital spend needed for probe cards and other test hardware and some unique equipment Provide clear signal to finance with backup on what drives capital Present and seek approval on AOP from SVP of Operations Drive monthly request of capital approval based on demand Monthly update on performance to AOP and close gaps if any. PREFFERED EXPERIENCE: Experience within the semiconductor industry Experience in whole product life cycle Experience in post fabrication environment Experience in new product introduction ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field Location: Austin, TX #LI-HYBRID #LI-AP3 At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
