Role Overview:
The Tech Strategy & Execution organization includes highly skilled Technical Program Managers and Engineers that owns, drive and execute all critical Tech investments and strategic Tech initiatives Coupang wide. Our programs involve some of the most difficult and critical problems facing the company. From scalability of core infrastructure to solving complex data issues to ensuring compliance with strict regulations, our team is deeply involved across the business. Our globally distributed team works closely with each other to drive the highest priority cross functional projects set by Coupang’s leadership team.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Data Analyst to join the team. This Platform team is responsible for Coupang's Technology Infrastructure and is on a mission to build and manage highly scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure to support the wide variety of Coupang products and services.
What you will do:
As a Staff Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to inform business decisions. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and provide actionable insights to drive business growth.
1. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze large datasets from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external data providers.
2. Data Visualization: Create interactive and informative dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
3. Insight Generation: Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data, and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify opportunities, and provide data-driven solutions.
5. Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and implement data quality checks and validation processes.
6. Technical Skills: Proficiently use data analysis tools and technologies, such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, or Tableau.
Basic Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as an Analyst performing data analysis, business analysis, , and executive reporting.
- Strong SQL
- Python or R for statistical analysis
- Expertise in Big Data Technologies, and data pipeline development: Hands-on experience with hive and presto for managing large-scale datasets in distributed environments.
- Must be able build data pipelines, and manage data jobs using airflow.
- Reporting: Expertise in Tableau and analytical acumen for creating insightful, user-friendly dashboards.
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills
- Data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Looker, Power BI)
- Experience on BigData Platform, and understanding of Data Warehouses.
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously for multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced organization
- Bachelors’ degree
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud data analytics and insights (AWS, GCP etc.) on cloud usage, utilization, consumption
- Strong statistics background
- Master's degree in a technical field
