Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for brand development and communication? Do you have experience managing complex stakeholders and a deep understanding of how brands and organisations can make an impact in the public sector? If so, we’re looking for you!
As a Senior Brand Strategist, you will play a key role in shaping impactful communication strategies for one of our major clients: the Dutch government and other organisations in the public domain. This role can span everything from ATL, BTL, to digital and app, looking e2e at how customers can be engaged. You’ll know how to craft compelling strategies and briefs unlocked by truths, and have an appetite for finding creative opportunities. You will work closely together with our behavioural scientists and creative teams, setting up, and guarding the strategic outline throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
- Learn the business. Understanding the context of the client and their business objectives and translating these objectives into creative communications strategies.
- Immersed in the audiences. Translating data, research and culture into valuable insight for creative and media teams that can be used to craft effective and inspired work.
- Be at the centre of things. Blending brand and comms planning, you’ll be at the centre of every brief, plotting how ideas will travel across ecosystems and journeys, then working with cross-functional teams to deliver them.
- Write the rulebook with us. This is a new setup with an open-minded culture, defining the rules together. We’re always looking to innovate, for the benefit of our client, the work or even in how we do things day to day.
The essentials:
- 5+ years of experience in an agency or a relevant field.
- Proven track record of producing great strategy work in a marketing business.
- Experience in utilising research and insights to generate creative briefs and marketing plans.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
- Digital-first thinking, understanding that a brand is no longer just what it says in its brand book but how it exists, acts and lives throughout the digital realm that users experience it on.
- Ability to identify strategic needs of a client business.
- Be the voice aligning with key teams and partners in the execution of a plan.
- Understanding creative ideas and what it takes to stand out, and of course working with creatives.
- Fluency in Dutch and excellent communication abilities.
- A passion for public communication and creating societal impact.
- Exceptional communications and presentation skills.
