Figure is an AI Robotics company pioneering the development of a general-purpose humanoid designed to address labor shortages and tackle corporate tasks that are undesirable or unsafe. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, our team collaborates on-site five days a week.
We are seeking an experienced Systems Integration Technician to work on an actuation lab for our actuation systems, spanning test execution, including mechanical and electrical setups, and equipment calibration. This role will work closely with Test Engineers to ensure seamless operations of our actuator testing activities.
Responsibilities
- Setup of testing equipment, including mechanical fixtures, electrical wirings and metrology setups, to ensure test readiness for test engineers.
- Execute standardized testing of motors and actuators.
- Perform instrumentation and metrology calibrations for testing systems, according to documented procedures.
- Troubleshoot and maintain testing fixtures to ensure seamless operation.
- Provide actionable feedback to test development engineers, contributing to efficient solutions for actuator and motor testing
- Maintain excellent lab organization, including tooling, parts storage and efficient ergonomy.
- Proactively coordinate with other teams to procure parts needed for testing
- Proactively coordinate with vendors for spare parts management and equipment maintenance
- Perform maintenance and inspection plans
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a test technician for actuation systems.
- Multidisciplinary approach for electrical and mechanical setups of advanced testing systems
- Familiarity with electrical instrumentation such as but not limited to: scopes, digital multimeter, current probes
- Ability to remove and replace mechanical components up to 50lbs manually and moving heavier hardware with rigging tools
- Ability to read schematics for testing systems.
- Familiarity with interpreting and understanding mechanical drawings of actuation systems.
- Experience with dyno-based testing systems and motor characterization.
- Strong communication and self-planning skills.
- Resilient and proactive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Competence in hands-on lab work and advanced engineering analysis.

The US base hourly range for this full-time position is between $45 - 75/hr.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
