IT Manager at Figure

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.

We are looking for an IT Manager who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation and security of our robot network systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of both traditional IT systems and cutting-edge robotic technologies.

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the company's IT systems, including servers, networks, and software
• Ensure the reliability and security of the IT infrastructure
• Develop and implement IT policies and best practice guides for the organization
• Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and hardware/software procurement
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff
• Manage and optimize the network systems that connect and control the company's robots
• Monitor the performance of robotic systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Ensure the security and integrity of data transferred between robots and the central system
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their IT needs and implement solutions
• Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and robotic systems
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server management, and cybersecurity
• Experience with robotic systems and IoT (Internet of Things) technology
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Bonus Qualifications:

• Certification in IT management (e.g., PMP, ITIL)
• Experience with automation and AI technologies
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
